Position Title: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). $25/hour Location: Oceanside School District – Public School SettingsReporting To: Supervising Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or designated Special Education CoordinatorPosition Summary: The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a certified professional responsible for providing direct/indirect behavioral support to students with special needs. Working under the guidance of a BCBA, the RBT implements individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs), collects and analyzes behavioral data, and collaborates closely with classroom teachers, parents, and other special education staff to foster a supportive and effective learning environment.Key Responsibilities:Implementation of Interventions: Execute behavior intervention plans with fidelity, ensuring that strategies are applied consistently across various settings.Data Collection and Analysis: Record and analyze student behavior data to track progress and inform necessary modifications to interventions.Collaboration: Work collaboratively with educators, special education teams, and families to integrate behavior support strategies into daily classroom routines.Communication: Provide timely updates on student progress and participate in team meetings to review and adjust intervention strategies as needed.Adherence to Ethical Standards: Maintain high standards of professional conduct by following ethical guidelines and confidentiality protocols in all interactions.Required Qualifications:Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).Demonstrated experience in applying behavioral interventions in educational or clinical settings.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators and specialists.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in data collection and reporting.Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to industry best practices.Skills and Competencies:Intervention Fidelity: Ability to implement complex behavioral interventions consistently and effectively.Data Literacy: Proficiency in recording, managing, and interpreting behavioral data.Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration and reporting.Adaptability: Capacity to adjust strategies in response to dynamic classroom environments and individual student needs.**If you are not RBT certified but are interested, training programs are available through our district. Please submit an application for a Special Education Aide to receive $16.50/hour or $17.00/hour as a January 1, 2026 with the opportunity to become RBT trained and receive additional compensation.The Oceanside School District is a leader in educational excellence and student achievement.
