OUFSD is seeking a dedicated and professional Driver's Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching students the essential skills for becoming safe, responsible, and confident drivers. The position requires a passion for education, a commitment to safety, and the ability to engage students in both classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel training.Key Responsibilities:Deliver classroom instruction on safe driving practices, traffic laws, and vehicle operation.Conduct behind-the-wheel training to ensure students demonstrate proficiency in basic driving skills.Develop lesson plans and teaching materials that meet the state’s curriculum guidelines.Assess student progress, provide feedback, and maintain accurate records of student performance.Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.Ensure the safety of students during driving sessions, maintaining a high standard of care and responsibility.Stay updated on changes to traffic laws and best practices in driver safety.Qualifications:NYS Driver’s Education Teacher certification Must hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.Previous experience in teaching or training drivers is preferred.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to create a positive learning environment that encourages student participation.Patience, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility.Courses will be for summer hours and after school several days a week
