Social Studies Homebound Tutor:We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Social Studies Homebound Tutor to support students preparing for the New York State Social Studies Regents Exam. This is a part-time role designed to provide one-on-one instruction to students unable to attend traditional classroom settings due to health, personal, or other reasons.Key Responsibilities:Provide personalized instruction aligned with the New York State Social Studies curriculum and Regents Exam standardsAssist students in mastering critical concepts such as U.S. History, Global History, Geography, Civics, and Economics.Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary.Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff to ensure consistent academic support.Maintain accurate records of instructional sessions and student performance.Qualifications:Teaching certification in New York State - Secondary Social Studies certified Algebra Homebound Tutor:We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Algebra l & 2 Homebound Tutor to support students preparing for the New York State Algebra l & 2 Regents Exam. This is a part-time role designed to provide one-on-one instruction to students unable to attend traditional classroom settings due to health, personal, or other reasons.Qualifications:Teaching certification in New York State - Secondary Social Studies certified Experience in Algebra l & 2 Availability (for both positions)School Hours (8am-3pm) and/or Afterschool hoursThe Oceanside School District is a leader in educational excellence and student achievement.
