Work Based Learning Coach for the 24/25 School YearNew York State teacher certification (7-12) with Work Based Learning extension OR New York State school counselor certification with Work Based Learning extension.Work-based learning includes authentic learning experiences that allow students to explore their career goals, abilities, and interests while applying their academic knowledge, technical knowledge, and skills in a real-world context. The work-based learning teacher will train students in workplace safety and health in accordance with NYSDOL regulations and will ensure that students are well supervised while on worksites. The work-based learning teacher will partner with employers to comply with the NYSDOL Laws Governing the Employment of Minors. Finally, the work-based learning teacher will collaborate with students, parents and families in order to individualize support and information regarding post-secondary planning.The Oceanside School District is a leader in educational excellence and student achievement.
