Secondary Special Education Leave Replacement - Life Skills needed for the 24/25 school yearApproximate start and end date: August 29th -December 20thCertifications required: Students with Disabilities 7-12This position is for a teacher in a secondary life skills class that focuses on academic and career exploration with a 12:1+2 ratio. The program focuses on student growth in academic and vocational skills. The teacher is responsible for teaching English, Math, and Activities of Daily Living, as well as supervising students while working in the community. The class requires routine, structure, and behavior management strategies. In addition, the teacher needs to collaborate with related service providers, and will be responsible for working with managing aides. The Oceanside School District is a leader in educational excellence and student achievement. We educate 5,500 students in 10 schools, including seven elementary schools, an early childhood center, a middle school, a high school and an alternative high school.
