The season officially begins on 3/13/22. Varsity Head Coaching duties begin as soon as the candidate is board approved.The Oceanside School District is seeking a qualified candidate:Varsity Boys Lacrosse Head CoachCandidates must possess state-approved First Aid, CPR/AED, and concussion certificates by the season’s start date. Candidates must possess a teaching or coaching license. Willingness to take mandated coaching courses/workshops if not PE certified by NYS.Prior coaching/playing experience, strong knowledge of the sport, and willingness to help create, maintain, and participate in a cohesive Varsity through Middle School program. Must be able to create a positive team atmosphere that motivates our student-athletes to be successful on and off the playing surface. Available to assume responsibility for students at the end of school, commitment to daily practice, and game schedule. The schedule includes weekends, holiday breaks, and off-season training.Great communication skills with student-athletes, parents, teachers, and administrators.All candidates must exemplify sportsmanship for themselves and all individuals involved in the program.The Oceanside School District is a leader in educational excellence and student achievement.
