Technology Assistant Needed, 22/23 School year, 10 month position: $32,454/per annumThe job of Technology Assistant is for the purpose of assisting with the operations of a computer, to assist with the deployment, usage and collection of devices in our 1:1 and 1: many technology implementations district-wide, and to provide instruction to students, faculty and staff in the use of technology and software applications.JOB DESCRIPTIONCoordinates scheduling of students and teachers for the purpose of repair and proper usage of district technologyAssists students and teachers with computer technologies (ipads, laptops, desktops, etc.) and software applications (Google Apps for Education, Microsoft Office, Adobe, etc.)Maintains computer equipment (e.g. instructional materials, appropriate software, sets up materials for daily activities, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring availability of equipment and programs to enhance the instructional program before, during and after hours.Performs routine and preventive maintenance of computer lab and classroom equipment (e.g. dusting, cleaning, reporting of issues, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the availability of equipment in safe operating condition.Prepares documentation (e.g. reports, instructions, memos, etc.) for the purpose of providing written support and/or conveying information.Troubleshoots malfunctions of hardware and/or software applications for the purpose of determining appropriate actions to maintain computer lab operations.Assists all stakeholders with proper device use, backup, and/or restore.Other Functions• Assists other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.
