MANAGER OF BUSINESS SERVICESOCM BOCES Administration Department located at the Main Campus, Liverpool, NY has the need for a full-time Accountant II. The work involves responsibility for performing professional accounting and supervisory work in maintaining all financial accounts and accounting records of OCM BOCES. The successful candidate should possess knowledge of BOCES operations and apply agency guidelines and procedures to comply with laws and regulations in performing the duties. Supervision is exercised over the work of the Treasurer, Accounts Payable, Bursar, Special Education Billing, and Contract Billing. Typical duties include initial budget development, WinCap System management, management of CoSers and service codes, assisting districts with contract questions, processing initial requests from school districts, and State Aid reporting. The work includes collaborating with school auditors, managing internal controls, supporting programs with budgets, conducting the year end closing, and managing reserves. The successful candidate must possess or be eligible for New York State School District Administrator (SDA), School Business Administrator (SBA), School District Leader (SDL) or School District Business Leader (SDBL) certification or the ability to be qualified via Onondaga Civil Service rules consistent with the requirements of the title of Accountant II.
