Division: Career & Technical EducationLocation: Thompson Road Campus and off-site locationsDuties: Instruct high school juniors and seniors preparing them for careers in animal health and veterinary science through hands-on, industry-aligned instruction. The successful candidate will teach coursework in animal biology, anatomy and physiology, nutrition, medical terminology, safety and sanitation, and practical skills such as animal handling, grooming, and first aid. This role also supports students in experiential learning opportunities including job shadowing and internships, helping students earn high school credit, college credit, and a CTE endorsement. The program connects students to post-secondary while preparing them for careers such as Veterinary Assistant, Technician, Groomer, or related animal science fields. Ideal candidates will also be Certified Veterinary Technicians or closely related fields and bring instructional expertise, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to helping students achieve industry certifications such as Animal CPR/First Aid, Fear Free, and Veterinary Assistant technical assessments.Qualifications: New York State certification in Animal Science 7-12 required.*Visa sponsorship is not provided Equal Opportunity Employer
