OCM BOCES has an immediate need for a full-time position located at the Regional Information Center, in Syracuse, NY. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, leading the integration of financial management software in school districts. Streamlining financial processes and enhancing efficiency. Collaborating with districts to implement financial management systems, including Finance Manager, School ERP Pro (Infinite Visions), and WinCap. Identifying opportunities for process improvement and resolving potential problems through software utilization. Providing training sessions for district personnel and support staff. Conducting user group meetings and delivering software demonstrations. Working closely with third-party vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Developing user documentation and training materials. Must possess ability to organize and supervise tasks effectively. Familiarity with NYS School Business Practices and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as applied to school district financial reporting (GASB standards), along with experience in software implementation and training preferred. Some travel required. This is a provisional appointment to a competitive Civil Service position. This is not a virtual position. Passing score on examination required for continued employment.
