OCM BOCES is searching for a Facilities and Grounds Maintenance instructor with the Career Development Program at the Thompson Road Campus in Syracuse, NY. The Career Development Program is a half-day academic and experiential learning program designed for students in grades 9-12. It aims to assist students in satisfying the CDOS (Career Development Occupational Studies) credential requirements to earn high school credits. The instructor for this program would be expected to develop and deliver interactive units of study for topics such as Safety in the Workplace, Custodial Skills and Procedures, Grounds Keeping Skills, and Construction Skills. NYS teaching certification, or willingness to obtain teaching certification, is required. Candidates with some background with special education is beneficial. Experience in a related field is necessary.
