The Nyack Public School District is seeking candidates for a full time Registered Nurse (School Nurse). The successful candidate must hold a valid New York State License (RN) and meet Rockland County Civil Service requirements.The district requires an additional nurse to support the high school and serve as a floating nurse to provide coverage across schools when a nurse is out. A school nurse plays a critical role in promoting student health and well-being by providing direct medical care, managing chronic conditions, administering medications, responding to emergencies, and ensuring compliance with state health regulations. They also collaborate with school staff and families to support students with medical needs, conduct health screenings, monitor communicable diseases, and provide education on wellness and prevention.
