Nyack Public Schools is seeking candidates for a full-time, tenure track Vocal Music and music technology position serving high school (grades 9-12) students in a vibrant, diverse community for the 2024-2025 school year.Responsibilities include but are not limited to: teaching choir with an emphasis on music literacy, students’ social emotional well-being, equity, and social justice. Knowledge of vocal pedagogy, functional piano skills, and Digital Audio Workstations (DAW’s) are highly desirable. Qualities required include: Departmental, Building, and District-wide collaboration, excellent communication skills, and culturally responsive teaching. Candidates must be certified in NYS Music Education; additional certifications such as Kodaly, Orff and/or Dalcroze, or other relevant training pertaining to the position are highly encouraged.Diverse candidates are encouraged to apply.
