The North Syracuse Central School District is seeking applicants to fill the position of Director of Data, Accountability, and School Improvement.School District Leader Certification or School District Administrator required.ADMINISTRATOR - DIRECTOR JOB DESCRIPTION POSITION Director of Data, Accountability, and School Improvement Reports To: Superintendent Supervises: Direct supervision of the Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) - ENL, the Registrar's Office, and support staff within the office of Data, Accountability, and School Improvement Status: Full-Time Tenured Track Position Location: District Office Qualifications:Valid NYS School District Administrator (SDA) or School District Leader (SDL) certification required.Preferred five years of successful experience in educational leadership, data analysis, or program administration.Demonstrated expertise in educational data systems, accountability frameworks, and federal program management.Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Description:The Director of Data, Accountability, and School Improvement oversees the administration, coordination, supervision, and evaluation of all pupil services, data, and information impacting North Syracuse Central School District students. This includes reporting all state and local instructional, formative, and benchmark assessment data. The position also manages the District Student Management System and all reportable data elements in other informational databases. Additionally, the Director supervises and administers the District’s K-12 ENL and World Languages programs. The Director will also support various District-level functions as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools. Key Responsibilities:District AdministrationAssist the Office of the Superintendent, Deputy Superintendent, Associate Superintendent for Business Services, and Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources with essential functions of all four offices.Ensure the District-wide compliance with all federal and state accountability requirements.Ensure that the District is meeting all regulatory obligations with the Student Information Repository/State Level District data and local school and/or District data (i.e., NY state assessments, staff evaluation, Civil Rights Data Collection).Supports Building Principals and school leadership teams with benchmarking data (such as AIMS Web and BIMAS).Maintains the District’s School Management System (Schooltool).Oversees and facilitates the training of the District’s evaluation plan for teachers and principals.Maintains the District software for Staff Evaluations (such as Frontline Education).CNYRIC Data Coordinator, District Representative, and Data Warehouse RepresentativeOversees the Registrar’s Office, including residency, summer school registration for private school students, foster care, and McKinney-Vento.Representative on District-level committees as determined by the Superintendent. Instructional Leadership- Curriculum, Instruction, and AssessmentDevelops data analysis reports for school buildings related to report cards, assessment, demographics, attendance, and discipline.Supports the Superintendent’s Cabinet with data-driven decision-making (i.e., supporting curriculum development and instructional best practices.Supports the MTSS process in all school buildings.Provide professional development and guidance to administrators and staff on the effective use of data for decision-making.Oversees the World Languages and ENL programming and development, including the ENL TOSA.Oversees and supports NYS testing programs (i.e., 3-8 and Regents exams)Oversees high school equivalency programs Title I Grants and Federal ProgramsReports to the Deputy Superintendent for grant planning, implementation, and evaluation of Title I programs in accordance with federal and state guidelines.Manage Title I budgets and ensure all expenditures align with program goals and compliance requirements.Collaborate with principals and instructional staff to design and implement interventions for students identified through Title I programs.Prepare required reports, applications, and documentation for federal and state audits. Terms of Employment:Twelve (12) months, NS Academic Directors Association (NSADA) affiliated position.
