The Niskayuna Central School District is now accepting applications for Lifeguards for the 2024-2025 school year.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:1. Candidate has a minimum age of 16 (sixteen) years (15 years is acceptable if employed at a facility where asupervisory lifeguard is present)2. Candidate must possess a current certificate in basic life support and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) forthe professional rescuer from the American Red Cross, or equivalent certification.3. Candidate must possess a current lifeguard training certificate from a recognized certifying agency, i.e. theAmerican Red Cross, Boy Scouts, YMCA, YWCA, or a certifying agency approved by the New York StateCommissioner of Health.NOTE: Selected applicants will be subject to a fingerprint supported criminal history background check in accordance with SAVE Legislation effective July 1, 2001.
