The Niskayuna Central School District is now accepting applications for an anticipated Summer School Coordinator - Special Education for our Extended School Year Program (ESY) ASSIGNMENT: Extended School Year; 7/10/2023-8/18/2023; 8:15 AM-11:15 AM. The Niskayuna Central School District is currently looking for candidates who have:Diverse backgrounds, education interests and experiencesPositive attitude and a passion for teachingAn adaptable and coachable mindsetEnthusiasm for the well-being and progress of children The Summer School Coordinator - Special Education is responsible for the administration of the ESY program for students with disabilities including planning and coordination, program implementation, building and staff supervision and reporting. The ESY program hosts approximately 125 students and 45 faculty/staff members, across two sites (elementary and secondary). Duties begin in the Spring of the preceding Summer. QUALIFICATIONS:New York State Teacher Certification: School Administrator/Supervisor (SAS), School District Administrator (SDA), School Building Leader (SBL) or School District Leader (SDL). Certification and experience in an area of Special Education and/or related services is preferred.
