POSITION: Special Education Teachers (2) Elementary School – Probationary Appointment EFFECTIVE DATE: September 1, 2025 LOCATION: Pequenakonck Elementary School DESCRIPTION: -Responsible for teaching students with disabilities on the Elementary Level across multiple subject areas in a variety of settings across the special education continuum- Collaborate with teachers, pupil personnel services providers, and administrators around student learning, instructional planning, and professional development- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with students, families, teachers, and colleagues- Actively embrace the District mission QUALIFICATIONS: - New York State Certification as a Special Education Teacher 1-6 - Experience with teaching multiple subject areas- Extensive knowledge of the CSE process- Experience with administering, scoring, and interpreting assessment instruments for CSE planning- Strong knowledge of reading development and knowledge of best practices in instructional approaches to reading and/or mental health practices in schools preferred APPLICATION DEADLINE: May 1, 2025 In addition to applying on OLASLETTER OF INTEREST& RESUME TO: Dr. Roy Martin, Principal Pequenakonck Elementary School 173 June Road North Salem, NY 10560 (914) 669-5317 ext. 3041Fax: (914) 669-4326
