Required: NYS Certification SWD (Birth-2)Responsibilities:Organization and implementation of classroom programming including a written/visual schedule of daily classroom activities; Collecting, maintaining, and tracking data regarding progress toward achieving IEP goals and managing student behavior;Developing structured and individualized academic programming;Administering and writing educational evaluations as needed;Attending and participating in Committee on Special Education meetings;Developing an IEP for each student including PLEPs and individualized goals;Assisting in the development Behavior Intervention Plans, Safety Plans, and Independence Plans as appropriate;Ensuring proper oversight of, supervision of, and providing feedback for evaluations of classroom support staffNYS Certification is required at time of applicationEOE: Minority and Bilingual candidates are encouraged to applyPlease do not send resumes to Human Resources as they will not be accepted.
