This is a position for the 2024-2025 school year with a September 1, 2024 start date.Appropriate 7-12 NYS certification for Students with Disabilities required.Responsibilities include:Plan lessons, deliver high quality instruction based on NYS StandardsWorks to establish and maintain open lines of communication with students and their parents concerning the academic and behavioral progress of all assigned studentsUtilize curriculum resources that reflect the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students served and differentiate instruction to meet learner support needsPrepare for and participate in student CSE meetings to facilitate student progress and aide in the identification of plans to address student support needsAttend and participate in Special Education Department meetings and complete required Professional Development Ensure awareness of and compliance with student IEPs Access and competently utilize IEP program to progress monitor for student goals and for IEP completion NYS Certification is required at time of applicationEOE: Minority and Bilingual candidates are encouraged to applyPlease do not send resumes to Human Resources: They will not be accepted
