The position is tenure track and will commence in the 2024-2025 school year pending approval of the School Budget. Successful candidates will:Demonstrate strong science content knowledge and innovative instructional practices Demonstrate extensive knowledge of the P-12 New York State Science Learning Standards/Next Generation StandardsDemonstrate the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learnersDemonstrate an ability to motivate, engage, challenge and instruct students through a wide variety of teaching strategiesDemonstrate skills to infuse technology into lessonsDemonstrate an understanding of early adolescent developmentDemonstrate experience using data analysis protocols to help drive instructional planningDemonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common goalsDemonstrate reflective practices and a commitment to professional learning Candidates must possess appropriate New York State certification in science grades 7-12 with a 5-6 extension to teach science at the middle school level.
