Successful candidates will:· Demonstrate strong content knowledge and innovative instructional practices · Demonstrate extensive knowledge of the P-12 New York State Science Learning Standards/Next Generation Standards· Demonstrate the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners· Demonstrate an ability to motiative, engage, challenge and instruct students with a wide variety of teaching strategies and use of multimedia tools· Demonstrate skills to infuse technology into lessons· Demonstrate an understanding of early adolescent development· Demonstrate experience using data analysis protocols to help drive instructional planning· Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common goals· Demonstrate reflective practices and a commitment to professional learning Candidates must possess appropriate New York State certification in science for grades 7-12.
