The New Paltz Central School District has an immediate opening for an Elementary Principal in our PreK-2 building. The successful candidate will be a strong advocate for children and have the following characteristics and competencies:A thorough and insightful understanding of elementary curriculum and sound instructional practice, including early literacy instructionAbility to involve the community in the life of the schoolAbility to provide strong, progressive leadershipEffective communication and interpersonal skillsAppreciate and respect diversity with a commitment to social justice and equityEnergetic, dynamic, and hardworkingCommitment to working collaboratively with all constituentsNew York State SAS, SDA, or SBL certification required.
