The New Paltz CSD has an anticipated instructional vacancy: Full-time Probationary High School Instrumental Music Teacher/Band Director. NYS Music certification required.The New Paltz CSD is seeking candidates for the position of High School Instrumental Music Teacher/Band Director. The successful candidate must be energetic and passionate about music education. Experience is preferred as well as a demonstrated record of advancing music education within a school district.The current program includes: Concert Band; Jazz ensembles; Marching Band; Lessons; Music Theory; Music Literature; and African drumming.Applicants must upload the following documents to OLAS: (a) Cover letter - to the attention of Dr. Linda Oehler-Marx, Deputy Superintendent, New Paltz CSD;(b) Resume;(c) Three current reference letters or a college credential file;(d) Copy of NYSED Teaching Certificate(s);(e) Copies of College Transcripts; and(f) Writing Sample.
