The North Shore Central School District is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Speech-Language Pathologist to provide speech and language services to students across a variety of educational settings. The successful candidate will assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders while supporting students' academic, social, emotional, and functional development. The Speech-Language Pathologist will work collaboratively with families, teachers, administrators, and related service providers to ensure students receive comprehensive and individualized support. Responsibilities: Provide speech-language therapy services in accordance with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Conduct speech-language evaluations and prepare comprehensive evaluation reports. Develop, implement, and monitor speech and language goals and objectives. Maintain accurate progress monitoring data and prepare progress reports. Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families to support student success. Participate in CSE meetings and contribute to educational planning and decision-making. Implement evidence-based practices to address communication needs, including articulation, language, fluency, voice, pragmatics, and social communication. Support students in accessing the curriculum and developing functional communication skills. Maintain compliance with all state regulations, district policies, and professional standards. Utilize a variety of instructional approaches and communication supports to meet individual student needs. Qualifications New York State License and Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility for certification). Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellowship (CFY) candidates are encouraged to apply. Experience working with students with autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, and/or complex communication needs preferred. Experience with AAC systems, assistive technology, and collaborative service delivery models preferred. Strong assessment, communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
