Elementary General Music & Chorus Leave Replacement North Shore Central School District -- (through December -- potentially longer)The North Shore Central School District seeks a dynamic and talented music educator and choral director to serve as a leave replacement. This position includes teaching elementary general music (K–5) and directing grades 4 and 5 chorus. In addition, the role includes leading an early-morning chorus glee club.Responsibilities include:Planning and delivering engaging, developmentally appropriate general music and choral lessons.Directing and preparing grade 4 and 5 choruses for winter concerts and school/community events.Coordinating registration and preparation of students for the All-County Music Festival.Leading the early-morning chorus glee club (stipend position), including selecting and teaching additional developmentally appropriate repertoire.Collaborating with colleagues, families, and the school community to support student learning and performance experiences.Qualifications:New York State Music certification required.Strong background in choral conducting and elementary general music instruction.Knowledge of Orff Schulwerk pedagogy.Ability to create a positive, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment.
