The North Shore School District is seeking a Permanent School Building Nurse for an elementary school -- BSN, NYS License, BLS certified School Nurse experience preferredKnowledgeable of CDC, OHSA, NYSDOH guidelinesMaintain record and performs screenings as per N.Y.S. guidelinesProvides basic healthcare and first aid to students that are ill, medically fragile and/or injuredProvides treatment, documents injuries and maintains ongoing student medical recordsAdministers daily medicationsKnowledgeable of diabetic care in a school settingMust have strong nursing skills to include experience in emergency procedures, anaphylaxis, injuries and general triageMust be a skilled communicator, with strong interpersonal and organizational skillsMust be collaborative in nature and contribute to the health and well being of the school community
