The 0.4 FTE position entails providing support to elementary students who have been identified as benefiting from additional support in mathematics to foster the development of understanding of basic concepts and to reinforce the application of basic skills within the content area through push-in and pull-out experiences. The successful candidate will have NYS certification as an elementary classroom teacher; experience in teaching mathematics; knowledge of the Next Generation Learning Standards; a willingness to learn our math programs which are centered around Singapore Math; a strong desire to work with elementary students; and deep commitment to facilitating meaningful, differentiated mathematics learning experiences for students in (perhaps unconventional) ways that help students to develop their understanding about the subject.
