Special Education/Academic Intervention Services/AIS Primary Duties and Responsibilities: The District is seeking a dedicated, compassionate Teaching Assistant to support students with disabilities and to support AIS services in the elementary setting. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the classroom teachers to support students with complex learning needs. Provide individualized and small-group instruction in reading and mathematics for students in grades K–4 facing academic challenges. Manage classroom behavior using established strategies and support student engagement, progress monitoring, and data collection. Support student engagement and track daily progress in foundational reading and math skills to align with learning goals and classroom performance standards. Essential Skills and/or Experience: Experience working with students with disabilities preferred Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills Ability to implement behavior management strategies and follow teacher's direction Required Certification(s): NYS Teaching Assistant certification (or eligibility) required OR NYS Teacher Certification in B-2, 1-6, literacy or students with disabilities Location: Pulaski Road Elementary School Salary: Contracted Rate of Pay Competitive health insurance benefits package available for successful candidates Application Procedure : Address all letters of interest and resumes to the attention of Mr. Anthony J.
