Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 8th grade middle school counselor duties Working knowledge of eSchool, middle school scheduling, mandated counseling. Essential Skills and/or Experiences: Strong knowledge of adolescent development Ability to provide academic, social, emotional, and behavioral support Experience with individual and small group counseling, crisis intervention and conflict resolution skills Knowledge of MTSS, 504 plans, and IEP processes Strong communication and organizational skills.
