The Northport-East Northport UFSD is seeking an innovative, dynamic and collaborative instructional leader to lead our PreK-12 instructional program. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: • Oversee all areas of PreK-12 learning, teaching and curricula, instructional programs, and professional learning to ensure alignment with district goals and state standards• Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of strategic plans for curriculum and instruction to promote innovation and growth and to emphasize performance-based learning and assessment• Facilitate the alignment of curriculum across grade levels and content areas to ensure coherence and high standards.• Mentor, supervise and evaluate directors and chairpersons of academic programs • Work with principals and teacher committees in organizing and coordinating Professional Learning Communities (PLC) to ensure alignment and continuity throughout the District• Develop, implement, and monitor strategic plans for continuous programmatic review and growth• Utilize data-informed strategies to guide instructional decision-making and improve student outcomes• Supervise and support administrators, faculty, and staff to ensure effective teaching practices and student success• Oversee the district’s professional development initiatives, ensuring staff have access to innovative training and continuous learning opportunities and professional learning systems• Expand college and career and multiple pathways, providing students with meaningful opportunities for future success• Coordinate and implement state and federal reporting requirements related to curriculum and instruction• Study, evaluate, and recommend adoption of new instructional materials, methods, and programs, and assists in budget preparation for newly approved instructional programs as related to instructional supplies, equipment, and materials• Support administrators and teachers to effectively use student performance data for sharing best practices and improving student learning • Partner with administrators and teachers to research, evaluate and recommend the adoption of instructional materials, methods, and programs • strengthen community partnerships and communication, including parent education programs and public engagement initiatives• Engage in research related to curriculum development and remain informed of the latest developments in PreK-12 pedagogyFor full job description click hereMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:• NYS Certification in School District Administration (SDA, SDL) required• Lead building principal experience preferred • Doctorate preferred• Expertise in curriculum and school improvement • Commitment to and experience providing equitable experiences and outcomes for all studentsAPPLICATION DEADLINE: Wednesday, March 5, 2025APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: Qualified and interested persons MUST apply on OLAS at www.olasjobs.org/longisland
