The Colonie Youth Center Inc. seeks a caring and engaging person to work as a Teacher Aide in a UPK classroom. This is a fun and rewarding job where you helpinquisitive children master the next level of their development. The successful candidate will provide classroom support under the direct supervision of the classroom teacher. They will assist in the planning and implementation of activities, monitoring children’s progress, implementing behavior plans and managing a classroom of 18 three-and four-year old students.Positions are available in the North Colonie School District.Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pmSalary: $17-18 per hour for a 10-month position.Requirements: Candidates must have an associate degree in early childhood OR ahigh school diploma and experience working in an early childhood program ORteacher assistant certification.This position is a full-time position with health and dental benefits, retirement planand paid time-off.
