Title: RtI Coordinator Description: Will work directly with the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction, Director of Educational Programs and Staff Development, and the Executive Director of Pupil Personnel Services and Special Education to review and analyze data in order to monitor, refine and develop intervention protocols for K-6; assist in administering, monitoring and implementing district and school wide reform initiatives relative to our Multi-Tiered System of Support and Response to Intervention. Pay Scale: Commensurate with experience Projected Start Date: November 2023 Expectations: Possess an in depth understanding of intervention services, Multi-Tiered System of Supports, and Response to Intervention principles and processes Possess excellent assessment, data analysis, case management, crisis intervention, interpersonal, and communication skills Possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, staff, administrators, and outside agencies Possess the following skill-based competencies to satisfactorily perform the function of the position: analyzing; effective listening; facilitating meetings; guiding others; instructional techniques; managing projects/programs; monitoring activities; planning; problem solving Provide professional development to administrators and certified and classified staff on RTI/MTSS Provide targeted coaching and support to teachers with respect to instruction and/or classroom management Support teachers and administrators in RTI data collection and record-keeping Lead RtI committee(s) in determining appropriate curriculum-based interventions for student and frequency for monitoring of student progress Promote the use of researched-based interventions Oversee data collection and progress monitoring at each tier Create and recommend Tier 1, Tier II and Tier III strategies to support students, academically, emotionally and behaviorally; support teachers in the implementation of these strategies to close learning gaps Analyze district wide data on student achievement, and work with the necessary stakeholders to identify interventions, student support and professional development as needed Oversee district-wide universal screening and local assessments, and generate data reports for state and local assessments Collaborate regularly with the district administrators, building principals and teachers to target specific learning deficits; work with building level support teams Work collaboratively with principals to prepare for and support Data Review meetings, RTI meetings, and ongoing monitoring of student growth Identify and provide professional development for teachers regarding differentiated instruction, RtI strategies and protocols, and use of the Branching Minds platform Prepare various reports and forms evaluating RtI supports and programs Attend professional development and carry out needed research and study to gain full working knowledge of RtI Collaborate with and support Reading and Math Academic Interventionists Supervise and oversee the Math Academic Interventionists Create district and building data trackers utilized to analyze student needs and document interventions Create yearly Assessment and Intervention Cycle calendars, as well as Reading and Math Service Guidelines Analyze student learning objectives and compute student performance scores for APPR data Other related duties as assigned Requirements: Appropriate SDL Certification A minimum of 3 years teaching and/or leadership experience Understanding of the Branching Minds platform, preferred Understanding of the iReady Diagnostic and Instruction platform, preferred Excellent technology skills, particularly with a strong understanding of Excel Preferred experience with leadership related to curriculum, instruction, and assessment in the areas of ELA and math A strong background in effective implementation of intervention strategies including Response to Intervention Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, community members, and staff members EOE Employer: The North Bellmore School District is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate in its employment decisions and practices on the basis of legally protected classes in accordance with Federal and State law.
