The Newburgh Enlarged City School District has an anticipated vacancy for a Program Liaison for the District. Job Goal:The Educational Program Liaison serves as a critical link between the academic program, school administration, students, and the community. This position is responsible for ensuring effective communication, facilitating support services, and promoting family engagement to enhance student success and program effectiveness. Education and Experience: Associates degree or some college courses in Counseling, or a related field (or equivalent experience in community-based work). Minimum of 2 years of experience in an educational setting, social services, or community outreach, preferably in a liaison or advocacy role. Familiarity with the local community, its resources, and the challenges faced by diverse student populations. Our district central office and the Board of Education are located at 124 Grand Street, Newburgh, NY 12550. The school district serves students from four neighboring municipalities: the City of Newburgh, the Town of Newburgh, New Windsor, and a small portion of Cornwall. Six elementary schools (including a Pre-K center in one building), one K-8 school, one middle school, and the high school are in the City of Newburgh. The remaining schools are spread throughout the other municipalities.
