The Newburgh Enlarged City School District has an anticipated vacancy for a Director of Business & Operations for the District.Qualifications:New York State SDBL required Responsibilities Include:Serves as the District’s Purchasing AgentCoordinate all RFP/RFB processes from initiation through award and contract execution, follows up to ensure a PO is issued for this contractOversee purchasing and accounts payable ensuring all procedures and regulations are consistently adhered to, timelines are met, and serve as a resource when matters require escalationPrepare contracts across the districtAccepts donations and take any needed next steps including preparing resolutions for BOE agendaReview and issue purchase orders for General, Cafeteria, Capital, Federal, Library, Extraclassroom and any other funds in which procurement occurs through; this is to be done dailyAdministers Ed DataSupports Junior Accountants for Grants and CapitalManages position control with assistance from Assistant Superintendent for Finance as neededLiaison to Special Education team for STAC reporting data as needed to support maximizing that source of revenueAssists specific departments in budget development processTracks staffing changes against budgetAssists in completing the RSU and CPSE schedules as part of required annual state reportingMaintains fixed assetsAssist in contract negotiations and calculations.Other assigned responsibilities Our district serves a very large population of diverse students. Thank you for your interest in the Newburgh Enlarged City School District.Overview The Newburgh Enlarged City School district is located at "The Crossroads of the Northeast," an area on the west bank of the Hudson River 60 miles north of New York City and 80 miles south of Albany. Our district central office and the Board of Education are located at 124 Grand Street, Newburgh, NY 12550. The school district serves students from four neighboring municipalities: the City of Newburgh, the Town of Newburgh, New Windsor, and a small portion of Cornwall. Six elementary schools (including a Pre-K center in one building), one K-8 school, one middle school, and the high school are in the City of Newburgh. The remaining schools are spread throughout the other municipalities.
