The Newburgh Enlarged City School District has an anticipated vacancy for an Audio Visual Repair Technician.* AUDIO VISUAL REPAIR TECHNICIAN POSITION IS PROVISIONAL and contingent upon results of the Civil Service Exam when issued Minimum Education Level, Certification, and ExperienceAssociates Degree in Audio Visual or Related FieldGraduation from High School and One year of full-time experience in audio-visual work involving the operation and minor maintenance of a variety of audio-visual equipment; orAny equivalent combination of experience training Job Goal:Audio Visual (AV) technicians set up and run the sound and video equipment for live events such as meetings, sports games, business conventions, and concerts. They mix soundboards, play video recordings, enhance lighting, and coordinate graphics. AV technicians must be able to work days, nights, and weekends because they support events during these times. They also assist in the streaming of events via web services such as YouTube, Google Meets, Cisco WebX, and Zoom. Our district central office and the Board of Education are located at 124 Grand Street, Newburgh, NY 12550. The school district serves students from four neighboring municipalities: the City of Newburgh, the Town of Newburgh, New Windsor, and a small portion of Cornwall. Six elementary schools (including a Pre-K center in one building), one K-8 school, one middle school, and the high school are in the City of Newburgh. The remaining schools are spread throughout the other municipalities.
