The Newburgh Enlarged City School District has an immediate vacancy for a Head Coach for Girls Varsity Basketball.Qualifications/Credentials:NYS Certified Physical Education Teacher (OR)NYS Certified teacher Other than Physical Education with current SED approved First Aide Course and current SED approved CPR/AED course (OR)Must hold appropriate NYS Coaching certification; current SED approved First Aid Course; SED approved CPR/AED course, Child Abuse Identification Class, School Violence prevention Class, DASA Training and fingerprinted with NYS Education DepartmentJob Requirements: Ability to determine student eligibility, based on NECSD Board of Education Policy 5411 and 5100. Ability to access student data relating to eligibility from the student management system. Perform accurate record keeping, maintaining list of eligible students for each event with proper back-up data and a list of students who were ineligible for each event. Our district central office and the Board of Education are located at 124 Grand Street, Newburgh, NY 12550. The school district serves students from four neighboring municipalities: the City of Newburgh, the Town of Newburgh, New Windsor, and a small portion of Cornwall. Six elementary schools (including a Pre-K center in one building), one K-8 school, one middle school, and the high school are in the City of Newburgh. The remaining schools are spread throughout the other municipalities.
