The Newburgh Enlarged City School District has an anticipated vacancy for an Athletic Trainer for the District Qualification:New York State Athletic Trainer Certification General Statement of Duties:This position will provide for the management and provision of care of injuries to a physically active person. This includes the rendering of emergency care, development of injury prevention programs and providing appropriate preventative devices for the physically active person. The position will also assess, manage, treat, rehabilitate and recondition the physically active person whose conditions are within the professional preparation and education of a Certified Athletic Trainer. This position will also provide for the use of therapeutic modalities, therapeutic exercise, reconditioning exercise and fitness programs as described by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association. Six elementary schools (including a Pre-K center in one building), one K-8 school, one middle school, and the high school are in the City of Newburgh.
