Woods Road Elementary School in the North Babylon Union Free School District is seeking a dedicated, reliable, and enthusiastic Permanent Substitute Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The successful candidate will report daily to the building and provide instructional support as needed across various subject areas and grade levels.Responsibilities include:Providing coverage for classroom teachers during absences.Implementing lesson plans left by teachers or delivering prepared instructional materials.Maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment.Assisting with supervision duties throughout the school day (hallways, cafeteria, arrival/dismissal, etc.).Being flexible and ready to work in a variety of classrooms and with different student needs.Qualifications:Valid New York State Teaching Certification.Prior classroom experience preferred.Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills.Ability to adapt to different teaching environments quickly and effectively.A commitment to fostering a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment for all students.Interested candidates should submit a cover letter, resume, copy of certification, and references.
