ANNOUNCEMENT OF ANTICIPATED VACANCY2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR Coordinator of ENL, World & Dual Languages, K-12The North Babylon School District is seeking a dynamic leader looking to be a part of a collaborative, forward-thinking team to support the district in the areas of ENL, World Languages & Dual Languages through supporting the vision and mission of the school district. The successful candidate should have a proven record of success as a leader, possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Develop, implement and oversee the school district's curriculum and instruction programs in the identified areas Demonstrate a strong understanding of program design, implementation and staff development for ENL education program according to CR Part 154 at both the elementary and secondary levelPlan, coordinate and direct the professional development program and activities in the District for the ENL and World Language departments, as well as continuing education for certified staff, promoting a focus on student learning and professional growthEnsure that curriculum and instruction incorporate the experiences, culture, history and perspectives of people from various cultures and backgroundsOversee and coordinate the evaluation of certified staff and provides assistance and resource services to the District-wide evaluation of staffDevelops and direct school, community and parent involvement programs as appropriate to the instructional programs in the DistrictPlan, compile and manage the budget for the ENL and World Languages Departments as well as the Title III grant development to support our programsImplement and monitor Federal and State requirements and regulations pertaining to instructional programs, professional development and curriculum standardsCollaborative decision-making style, with a proven track record of working effectively with diverse individuals to drive decision-making and resultsAbility to deliver impactful professional development to leaders and teachers supervision of instruction Assumes other responsibilities as specified by the Superintendent.
