DISTRICT TREASURER Qualifications:2-5 years of experience in either Governmental Accounting, Auditing or Corporate Financial ReportingBachelor’s degree required; graduate degree and/or CPA preferredAbility to work independently, multitask and manage deadlinesThe candidate will be expected to embrace continually changing assignments and projects; we are looking for an ambitious problem solverFluency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite required; all candidates will be required to take an evaluation Responsibilities:Preparing all required financial reports as required by the Board of Education, Superintendent of Schools and by the State or Federal agencies having jurisdiction over public school fundsHaving custody of the School District fundsKeeping full and accurate accounts of receipts and disbursementsDepositing all money and other valuables in the name of the School District in such depositories as may be designated by the Board of EducationDisbursing the funds of the School District as may be ordered or authorized by the Board of Education and preserving proper vouchers for such disbursementsCompensation will be competitive & commensurate with experience.
