The Nanuet School District is seeking a (1.0) Instructional Technology Teacher./Facilitator Candidates must hold a NYS Teacher certification.This position is designed to support/ guide classroom teachers and administrators in innovatively integrating meaningful, effective instructional technology with a focus on the individual needs of the students, teachers, and administrators.Essential Duties:Facilitate and model instructional technology integration strategies designed to strengthen teaching and learning.Provide guidance, training, and coaching to teachers regarding educational and instructional methodology related to inquiry and the implementation of student centered learning with respect to the use of technology.Collaborate with teachers in composing effective technology-infused, content-based lessons; support teachers as they implement the lessons in their classrooms.Provide direct instruction to teachers and administrators on instructional technology integration for implementation in the classroom to support student learning.Model exemplars of classroom technology integration and actively engage others in professional growth opportunities. Design, train, support, integrate, document (with curriculum mapping software) and maintain a scope and sequence for Digital Citizenship and Literacy. Promote and model digital citizenship (i.e., digital etiquette, digital literacy, digital access).Follow a plan for professional development and actively seek out opportunities for professional growth.Support the Federal and State regulations and requirements for technology including maintenance of Ed Law 2-d’s required repository of digital resources.Participate in team, department, and faculty meetingsParticipate as an active member of the District Technology Committee.Research instructional technology integration and best practices for the purpose of making recommendations to meet the District’s Technology Plan and to support District goals.Site Coordinator for Virtual High School (VHS) involving management and support of students taking online courses.
