The Nassau BOCES Department of Special Education is seeking General Special Education Teachers at various locations. Successful candidates must have experience working with students with learning, behavior, and social/emotional needs and possess strong skills in differentiated instruction. In addition, successful candidates must have demonstrated skills in data-informed instruction, Next Generation Learning Standards and New York State Alternate Assessments.REQUIREMENTS:New York State Education Department Certification in at least two of the following areas is preferred:Students with Disabilities (Grades B-2)Students with Disabilities (Grades 1-6)Students with Disabilities (Grades 5-9)Students with Disabilities (Grades 7-12)Students with Disabilities (All Grades)Content Specialty required for middle and high school gradesExperience working with a diverse range of student needsAbility to communicate effectively both orally and in writingDemonstrated ability in providing small group instruction in academic areas is preferredKnowledge of Google Classroom and instructional technologySALARY: As per labor contract
