DESCRIPTION:The Department of Special Education is seeking a School Psychologist for the Rosemary Kennedy School.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:• Organizing parent and staff trainings on relevant topics.• Providing social and emotional learning development and IEP mandated counseling.• Assisting with the development/implementation of Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans.• Participating in crisis interventions and training.• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary group of staff to support student needs.• Conducting parent and district outreach.• Attending annual review meetings and participating in screenings.REQUIREMENTS:• New York State Education Department Certification: Certified School Psychologist.• New York State Education Department Certification as a School Psychologist.• Experience with Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavioral Assessments as well as working with students with disabilities is preferred.
