The successful candidate will be certified in Work-Based Learning from an accredited institution and will have experience in placing students in internships, job shadowing programs and monitoring required hours in students’ selected Career and Technical Education programs. The candidate should be comfortable instructing students in resume writing, interview skills and the soft skills needed for success in the workplace. The successful candidate will also participate in assisting and expanding the district/program Industry Advisory Board. The successful candidate will be a member of the “In-district CTE” team that oversees 20 programs located in 6 districts throughout Nassau County. Requirements: New York State Education Department Certification – a valid initial, professional or permanent teacher certification in any title in the middle childhood (grades 5-9), adolescence (grades 7-12) or all grades level with the Work-Based Learning Coordinator extension.
