QUALIFICATIONS:SDL/SDA CertificationMinimum five years teaching and/or administrative experienceDemonstrated expertise in the areaPERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Professional responsibilities and activities include but are not limited to: Collaboration with building administrators and department leads for NYS data reporting and data integrity verification. Serves as the district’s data privacy officer in conjunction with Educational Law 2-D and related policy requirements.Coordinates Ed 2-D contract compliance with 3rd party vendors.Oversees Ed 2-D annual training compliance for all staff.Maintains list of approved software on the district’s web site.Oversees notifications in the event that a breach notification is required,Provides direct and indirect technical assistance and training for personnel including coordination of training and supportParticipates in the development of the district’s technology plan.Oversees NYS reportingOversees reconciliation of data errors.Provides for access, training and support for using NYS data verification systems to school and department leaders.Oversees timely submission of student demographic, enrollment, attendance and mark reporting data into the NYS data repository system.Oversees operation and support of the district’s rostering and access SSO systemsOversees operation and support of the district’s student information systemProvides direct supervision of selected staff within the technology department.Works collaboratively with the lead technology administrator.Advises and supports the Director of Education (K-12) on technology related aspects of curriculum software and services. Reviews and recommends IT policy and procedural changes to the lead technology administrator. Coordinates with building administrators and appropriate district staff the selection, ordering, purchasing and distribution of secondary instructional materials for student services staff.
