This role provides leadership, coordination, and supervision of CTE programs in alignment with NYSED regulations, frameworks, and approved program requirements. The Supervisor will lead faculty and inspire the growth of high-quality coursework, work-based learning, and internship opportunities that empower students to graduate with purpose—prepared for college, careers, and industry-recognized credentials in an ever-evolving global workforce.QUALIFICATIONS:Must hold NYS certification as a School District Administrator (SDA) or School District Leader (SDL).Must have a minimum of five years successful teaching experience in a Career and Technology discipline. Previous administrative experience preferred.Must have knowledge of curriculum design, assessment, and instructional best practices in CTE education.Experience with NYS approved CTE programs, career pathways, or work-based learning coordinationMust have excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESInstructional Leadership & Program DevelopmentProvide vision and leadership for the Family & Consumer Science, Technology, and Business Education programs.Ensure alignment of all course curriculum with NYS Learning Standards and district initiatives.Support development or integration of standalone or embedded financial literacy instruction, supporting the district’s implementation of the New York State Financial Literacy graduation requirement.Support effective instructional practices and assessment strategies, using data, observation, and feedback to drive instructional improvement and program effectiveness.Oversee curriculum development to ensure integration of technical skills, academic content, employability skills, and career readiness competencies.Support equitable access to CTE programs and pathways for all students.Collaborate and strengthen partnerships with business, industry, postsecondary institutions, and community organizations to support authentic learning experiences and articulation opportunities.Coordinate and deliver professional development for CTE educators.Supervision & EvaluationSupervise, support and evaluate instructional staff in Family & Consumer Science, Technology, and Business Education departments.Cultivate a collaborative culture that promotes professional learning, shared leadership, innovation, and continuous instructional improvement.Lead recruitment, selection, induction, and retention of high-quality educators.Guide and strengthen work-based learning opportunities, including internships, job shadowing, and school-to-career partnerships, ensuring high-quality, real-world experiences for students.Strategic Program Development and Innovation Lead the growth and modernization of CTE programs, expanding student engagement and access while aligning with emerging workforce trends.Ensure coherent, high-quality programs across buildings and grade levels, establishing aligned systems and structures in collaboration with building leaders.Use data to guide staffing, scheduling, and program development, promoting access and effective implementation.Provide strategic stewardship of the CTE budget, making thoughtful decisions that support innovation, excellence, and long-term sustainability.TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:Ten month year; 12 additional summer days; salary and fringe benefits as established by the Board of Education.
