Massapequa Public Schools - Secondary Vice Principal The Massapequa Public School District is seeking passionate, creative, and highly motivated educators to apply for the position of Executive Assistant to the Principal (the title of our position is unique, but akin to secondary vice principal). Our opening will be in one of our three secondary schools (10-12 high school, gr 9 campus, or 6-8 middle school). Candidates should have strong pedagogical skills and possess outstanding interpersonal skills that will engage and energize the school community and all stakeholders. Candidates should also have experience in supporting the effective instruction of all students, and have a proven track record of progressiveness, innovative problem solving, collaboration, team-building, and a commitment to excellence. Qualifications: NYS building-level administrative certification (SAS or SBL) Administrative/supervisory experience preferred 5+ years instructional experience Exceptional communication and problem solving skills Responsibilities: Supervises all aspects of curricular and co-curricular activities at the school Active supervision, observation and evaluation of all building staff members Supervise curriculum and instructional program development Foster a strong, supportive, and collaborative culture within and among all departments at the school, as well as throughout the entire school community Working with the building Principal and Central Administrative team to care for the instructional, managerial, and security needs of the building, its students and staff Supervision, coordination and management of administrative support staff to provide a cohesive, available, and supportive administrative team Liaison with community members, parents and most importantly, students A visible and active presence at building events Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee Position Start Date - July 1, 2024 Apply via OLAS only (no emails, fax, or mail).
