Mount Sinai School District is seeking a child centered, experienced educator who can inspire professional and support staff to maintain the highest standards for our schools so as to provide the best opportunities for our students’ growth.Responsibilities:Instructional/Athletics/NursingMentor and guide staff in improving instructional practices, aligning curriculum with New York State standards, and implementing innovative teaching strategiesSupervise and evaluate physical education and health teachers, as well as coaches and nurses, providing constructive feedback and support for professional growthFoster a collaborative and supportive environment that encourages professional development and continuous improvementProvide leadership and oversight for all aspects of the interscholastic athletic program, ensuring compliance with district, league, and state regulationsB&GCollaborate with building leaders to supervise and support maintenance and mechanic staffPrepare work assignments for grounds crew based on a maintenance schedulePerforms grounds and equipment inspections, provide reports and maintains logsOversee employee operation/maintenance training for vehicles, machinery & equipmentDevelop and manage budgets for all areasTeam with administrators and Board of Education to develop strategic capital project plansSecurityPartner with building and district administrators to develop school safety plansSupervises security team for all areas of school buildings and groundsOversees security team assignments, posts or patrols throughout the districtCoordinates school presentations to provide information and answer questions regarding school safety, crime and violence prevention and applicable laws *Additional responsibilities as determined by Superintendent of SchoolsGeneral Information & Salary: Mount Sinai School District is a Pre-K – 12 school district, with approximately 2000 students and over 400 staff members.
