The Marlboro Central School District has an opening in a probationary track position for Principal for the 2026-2027 school year. The Middle School Principal provides visionary, student-centered leadership to create a supportive, high-achieving environment. This role oversees the daily administration of the school, including instructional leadership, staff evaluation, student services, operations, and community engagement, ensuring alignment with district goals. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Instructional Leadership : Establish high academic standards, monitor curriculum implementation, and use data-driven decision-making to improve student performance. Staff Supervision & Development : Recruit, hire, evaluate, and mentor teachers and support staff, fostering a collaborative professional culture. Student Support & Culture : Create a safe, inclusive, and positive school climate that addresses the unique social-emotional needs of young adolescents and manages student behavior. Operations & Safety : Oversee daily operations, building security, emergency preparedness (drills/crisis response), and facility maintenance. Community Engagement : Act as the face of the school, fostering strong relationships with parents, guardians, and the community. Oversee school-sponsored activities and extracurricular programs. Administrative Management : Develop and manage the school budget, oversee student scheduling, and ensure compliance with district, state and federal policies.
