Moravia Central School District Long-Term Substitute Teaching Assistant (Grades 5 & 6) The Moravia Central School District is seeking a caring, dependable individual for a long-term substitute Teaching Assistant position supporting students in Grades 5 and 6. This position will support both general education and special education classrooms and is expected to begin on April 13, 2026, through the end of the 2025-2026 school year. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with classroom and special education teachers to support student learning in a positive and engaging environment. Responsibilities include: Support classroom and special education teachers with daily instruction and classroom routines Provide academic and behavioral support to students Work with small groups of students to reinforce instructional concepts Assist in implementing accommodations and modifications as directed Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and productive learning environment Supervise students during transitions and other school activities as needed Qualifications: Experience working with school-aged children preferred Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team Strong communication and organizational skills Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude Application Process: Interested applicants should apply on OLAS by submitting the following materials: A job-specific cover letter and resume Teaching Assistant Certification At least two current letters of reference Materials should be submitted to the attention of Carrie Love, Elementary School Principal.
